A step up from single-stage furnaces because its gas valve offers an additional lower setting. Most of the time the unit will meet heating needs at its lower stage, resulting in balanced and consistent temperatures with lower energy use. Should the low heat setting not heat the space quickly enough, the furnace will switch to the high setting. This ability to switch between the two settings offers greater comfort and efficiency.

Equipped with the most efficient variable-speed blower motor available with the ability to slowly ramp the airflow up or down to provide consistently even temperatures as it only produces the necessary amount of airflow at any given time. Plus, variable-speed motors can run at a continuous low speed which allows for better air filtration and humidity removal.

When paired with the iComfort® S30 ultra smart thermostat, a world of connectivity is unlocked. It stays finely tuned to your home by using sensors to react, diagnose, and troubleshoot. It provides basic maintenance notifications and alerts, performance reports, including the ability for you to grant your dealer access to remotely diagnose and troubleshoot. This pro-active and responsive HVAC care is valid for the lifetime of the HVAC system. Happy with our new Furnace
October 21, 2025We've had the Lennox SL280NV furnace installed in our home for just a couple of months, and while it hasn’t been cold enough yet to really put it to the test, we’re already impressed with its promise and the overall experience. It seems to pair perfectly with the Lennox A/C unit that was installed at the same time. The original builder's grade system wore out after twenty-five years. the "old system" never seemed to work as well as it should heating or cooling our home. From what we’ve seen so far, this furnace seems like a better fit for our home, and we are excited to share our initial thoughts. The installation process was seamless, thanks to our local Lennox Preferred Installer, A Plus Heating and Cooling. They were terrific to work with every step of the way, professional, knowledgeable, and attentive. From the initial consultations to the final setup, their team answered all our questions, explained the features of the SL280NV clearly, and ensured everything was installed perfectly. Their customer service and follow-up gave us confidence that we chose the right team and the right furnace. Even though we haven’t needed to run the furnace due to mild weather, we’ve tested it briefly, and it’s whisper-quiet and seems to distribute heat evenly. The two-stage heating and variable-speed blower are features we’re excited to experience fully this winter, as the system is designed to keep our home comfortable while operating efficiently it should be significantly more energy efficient than the system it replaced. The unit’s sleek design and compact size also fit neatly into our space, and we appreciate its modern engineering, and the efficiency-boosting components we learned about from A Plus. So far, the SL280NV gives us every reason to believe it’ll perform reliably when the cold hits. Paired with the outstanding service from A Plus Heating and Cooling, we are happy with our decision and can’t wait to see how this furnace handles the winter months!
